In May I showed you some works in progress, an idea that had been floating around my head for a while and which I was excited about. I talked about giving them space and after a few interruptions, they are here. You can read about how they started here.
I’m calling them Playfield, inspired by colorfield painting and the fun I had making them, at a time when I just allowed myself the time to play. What I love about the Colorfield movement is the joy in colour itself. How colours react with each other, from clashing hues to the smallest variations of pinks.

You can find them on my website here. I’ve already sold a few but I’ll be adding more as soon as I have the chance.
In other news, the farm alphabet I designed for Pottery Barn will be launching soon. I had so much fun designing this and imagining it on nursery walls.

Also new and bringing the Back to School vibes - Be Wonderful and Bon Weekend on my website here.

And finally, talking of happy colour, some pics from two great shows - Van Gogh at The National Gallery (no words needed, other than to say it was emotional seeing these so close up) and Damian Elwes at Unit. Damian paints artists studios, mostly imagined but based on a lot of research and visiting the spaces. I enjoyed listening to the stories behind each painting, especially how he painted the dots on the Lichtenstein.

Wishing you all a happy, colourful autumn.
Thanks for reading :-)
